LBCC's Academic Music Program is one of the few comprehensive two-year music programs in Southern California. Along with nine major performance ensembles (and numerous chamber and combo ensembles), our program provides transfer courses to four-year institutions and an Associate's Degree through a course of study that emphasizes theory, history, applied instruction, and regular performance. Our goal is to provide rigorous coursework and private study which prepares a music major for a successful audition and entrance exam to a university music program.
